Before you start.
Why not just check competitor listings by hand?
You can, but you would need to open every listing every day and remember what it said yesterday. App Store listings show only the current version. Ranksy re-reads each followed app every hour and keeps the old and new value of every change, so nothing slips past between visits.
Does Shopify tell me when a competitor changes their listing?

How does copycat detection decide what to flag?
Once a day, Ranksy compares other listings with yours field by field: name, subtitle, introduction, details and features. It weighs how close the text is, whether the listing names your app, how recently the app launched and how often it has edited its listing toward yours, then gives each suspect a threat score.
